Shortly after 18:00-hours, northwest fire companies were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire at address 1806 Thornbury Road in Mt. Washington Village. Engine Co.44 (Roland Park) arrived first in reporting smoke showing from the roof of side alpha and fire blowing out side charlie of a 2-story single family dwelling. Several minutes later a working fire assignment was requested. No injuries were reported. It took about a half hour for firefighters to bring the fire under control. The cause of the fire was from a lightning strike.
