Shortly after 19:00-hours, west side fire companies were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire at address 2704 Queen Anne Road in the Windsor Hills neighborhood. Engine Co.20 and Truck Co.18 housed from the Walkbrook firehouse on North Ave. & Ellamont arrived first due in reporting heavy fire showing through the roof of a 3-story wood-frame house. A few minutes later a working fire assignment was requested.
All occupants were reported safely out of the dwelling and no injuries were reported. It took nearly 40 minutes for firefighters to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time.
