Shortly after 15:00-hours on Tuesday afternoon June 16, eastside BCFD companies were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire in the area of N Montford Avenue and Federal Street in the Broadway East Community of East Baltimore. Engine Co.33 first due from the N Montford Firehouse arrived in on scene first reporting heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear (Side-C) of a 2-story middle of group vacant rowhouse. Just minutes later command requested a working fire dispatch followed by an immediate 2nd alarm. The fire had extended to the roof line as well as to the adjacent houses. Firefighters made an aggressive attack and brought the fire under control in about 35 minutes. The corrected address was at 2406 Llewelyn Ave. No injuries were reported, and the fire's cause is currently under investigation.
