Shortly after 16:30-hours on Friday afternoon May 21, Northwest area BCFD companies were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire in the 2400-block of Lakeview Avenue in the Reservoir Hill neighborhood of lower Northwest Baltimore. Engine Co.13 first due from the McMechen Street Station in Bolton Hill arrived in on scene first reporting heavy fire showing from two 3-story dwellings and immediately radioed in a 2nd alarm. Conditions of the houses structurally became too dangerous for firefighters to enter, so crews went working exterior operations only for the majority of the time. It took over an hour and a half for firefighters to bring the blaze under control. No injuries were reported, and the fire's cause is currently under investigation.
